Satisfaction And Heaven Too

There is something about the Christian life that we don*t talk about enough. When I am serving the Lord (or others according to His will) I sometimes realize that I am also doing EXACTLY WHAT I WANT TO DO. There is an unmatched peace and satisfaction that I don*t get when I am serving self. When we receive Christ and become new creatures in Him, He makes us creatures that are not satisfied with anything less than His will.

Psalms 37:3-4: Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. 4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Psalms 106:15: And he gave them their request; but sent leanness into their soul.

Philippians 2:12-13: Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Galatians 2:20: I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Romans 12:1-2: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

When our service is acceptable to God, His will is acceptable to us. And vice versa. Christians are never more miserable than when God*s will is not acceptable to them and when they are not serving Him according to His will.

Psalms 17:15 As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.
